Woodsafe wins award for innovation

A brand new €2 million flame retardant research, testing and development centre, established by TDCA member Woodsafe, has landed the 2024 Wood Protection Association (WPA) Innovation award.

The award criteria covered any products, services or new business processes which had improved standards of performance, environmental and regulatory requirements or increased sales opportunities for any WPA member. 

This new facility will 'support customers and the wood industry's ability to develop sustainable products and system solutions against fire and climate impact'.

The range of services includes testing for fire class with SBI, cone calorimeter, small flame ignition, accelerated climate impact, QUV and more.
