Deckwright scoops top award

Preservative treated anti-slip boards from WJ Group were the star of the winning project at the Wood Protection Association's (WPA) Award's held on 15 May 2024.
The winning project - a vast timber boardwalk in County Mayo, Ireland, uses 13,000 linear metres of DeckWright anti-slip deck boards. The WPA judges felt the project showcases how versatile and practical treated timber can be – and that correctly specified timber can be used in any area with challenging weather conditions.

Any construction or landscaping project in the UK or overseas, that utilises wood treated with a preservative, a flame retardant or wood modification process could enter the WPA's Project of the Year Award.
